SOL WASC8-1097 POC Randall Brown (206) 526-6042/FAX (06) 526-6025 Sources sought to provide volunteer coordination and data management services for the Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary (GFNMS) in San Francisco, CA. Period of proposed contract will be for one year. The GFNMS has two volunteer-based programs: a shoreline monitoring program and Beach Watch program, which monitors the health of central California harbor seal population. The GFNMS requires a Volunteer Director and a Data Management Specialist to deliver all recruitment, training, supervision, retention, communication, and support of volunteers' needs including biannual newsletter, brochures informing potential volunteers of each program's benefits and requirements, distribution of required permits needed to conduct volunteer activities, prepare NOAA volunteer documentation to provide for worker's compensation, management of photographic documentation, management of data documentation, and analyses for both the Beach Watch and SEALS volunteer monitoring programs. GFNMS estimates that one person will be required to work full-time on resultant contract and second person will be required to work part-time (24 hours/week). This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. (0105)
