MAY 3, 1998. Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials,
supervision and transportation necessary to Repair Sandblast Bay
Doors, Bldg 14 at U.S. Coast Guard ISC Boston, MA facility. Work
includes but is not limited to repairing the existing 26'-5" wide by
27'-0" high doorway serving the active sandblast bay within Building
14. Removing, restoring, replacing the doors, rails, installing ice
prevention piping, etc. Two options are included; the first is to
replace the drive gear and the second is to remove/replace a contractor
furnished temporary interior/exterior closure to the bay while boat
work is being performed. SIC code is 1799 and the cost range of this

capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.

The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid,
payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT
provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against
losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short-term Lending
Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
