13 -- PRODUCTION, LOAD, ASSEMBLE AND PACK (LAP) THE M734A1MULTI-OPTION FUZE SOL DAAE30-98-R-0310 DUE 041698 POC Carol A. Klapal, Contracting Officer, (973) 724-3274 WEB: US ARMY TACOM-ARDEC Procurement Network, http://procnet.pica.army.mil/procacts.htm. E-MAIL: Linda Kettler, lkettler@pica.army.mil. The US Army TACOM/ARDEC intends to procure a basic quantity of 46,800 M734A1 Fuzes with four options, each option range is from 10,000 to 270,000 Fuzes. The M734A1 is a material change version of the M734. The M734A1 has improved countermeasure hardening, which eliminates fuze pre-function when exposed to Jamming Signals. The state of the art electronic assembly offers producibility, reliability, and includes signal processing, which allows the fuze to monitor apogee and delay fuze earlies. The M734A1 has a very consistent and accurate Height of Burst (HOB) at all service conditions (temperature, charge and mortar system) over terrain with various reflection coefficients. The fuze has four selectable functions: two proximity HOB settings (60/81 and 120), Impact (IMP) and Delay (DLY). As with the M734, no tools are required to set the fuze. The M734A1 can be used on 60mm, 81mm, and 120mm High Explosive (HE) and 120mm White Phosphorous (WP) Smoke Rounds. This requirement is limited to sources from the USand Canada only. Information regarding this action can be accessed through http: Procnet.Pica.Army.Mil. Offerors will be required to sign a Non-disclosure and non use agreement prior to receiving copy of this solicitation. See Notes 12 and 26. (0107)
