This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested; and, a written solicitation WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This synopsis is issued as a written Request for Quotation (RFQ)# M00264-98-T-2148. The RFQ document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. The U.S. Marine Corps intends to issue a purchase order for temporary hotel accommodations in Chicago, Illinois to support 108 military personnel attending a conference in downtown Chicago. Lodging facility needs to be centrally located (on or walking distance to Michigan, Ontario and Ohio Avenues) and accessible to public mass transportation. Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001 -- One hundred (100) single rooms for the period from May 5 through May 6 1998. Check-in on May 5 is between 10:00 AM and 12:00 Noon, and check-out on May 7 is 10:00 AM; CLIN 0002 -- Eight (8) single suite rooms for the period from May 3 through May 8 1998. Check-in is on May 3 between 10:00 AM and 12:00 Noon, and check-out on May 8 is between 10:00 AM and 12:00 Noon; CLIN 0003 -- One (1) Conference Room to use on May 5 and May 6 1998 from 9:00 AM through 6:00 PM on both days. This room should be equipped with 108 chairs with tables to accommodate the chairs; a podium with microphone and speakers; an overhead projector and screen. Conference room, single rooms and suite rooms shall be fully air conditioned. If the hotel can only provide fifty (50) single rooms, then each of those rooms shall have two (2) single beds.
