This contract is an indefinite quantity contract for the fabrication and delivery of two generator air coolers at Whitney Power Plant, Clifton, Texas, one with left hand piping -- one with right hand piping and options for the Government to procure up to four additional air coolers. The air coolers will be required to match up to the existing generator cooler connections and flanges. The fabrication shall incorporate the latest state-of-the-art materials. The air coolers shall be configured identical to the existing 66 tube air coolers with six row/six pass cooling tube layout with each row having eleven finned tubes. The air cooler water piping flanges and main body bolt patterns must match the existing bolt patterns of the generator bolting provisions and stationary flanges of existing water piping. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12. See Note 26. Solicitation will issue on or about 08 May 1998 with bid opening on or about 09 June 1998. The proposed contract listed here is a 100% small business set-aside. See Note 1. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
