NASA Langley Research Center plans to issue a Request for Offer (RFO) for the removal, inspection, refurbishment, upgrade, and reinstallation of four each C-Duct Reversers that are on the Government -owned Rolls Royce RB 211-535E4 engines installed on the B757 aircraft. The Contractor shall be an FAA approved repair facility for the listed reversers. This procurement is being conducted under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, and FAR Part 12, Commercial Items. The SIC Code and Size Standard are 3724 and 1000 employees, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The provisions and clauses in the RFO and model contract are those in effect through FAC 97- 03. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about April 21,1998, with an anticipated offer due date of on or about May 6, 1998. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B".
