This solicitation is for Architect Engineer Multi Disciplinary Services to perform two (2) projects simultaneously. The projects are (1) Repair Fire Suppression System, Bldg 839 and (2) Repair Fire Suppression System, Bld 843. The projects include but are not limited to the following: prepare design drawings, specifications, estimates and necessary bid schedule information for above projects to permit accomplishment by competitive bid contracting. Designs to include a pre-action fire protections system and addressable fire alarm system. Provide all required testing to identify and quantify all HAZMAT within project scope. All requirements and provided scope details will be verified by the AE before beginning design. Provide seismic and structural analysis. Respondents must be able to provide finished drawings on electroni media in Autocad or Intergraph format. Respond date 11 May 98. The magnitude for design of these projects is between $25,000 and $100,000. The performance period is 185 days. Criteriawhich will be used for selecting firm in declining order of preference is as follows: (1) Experience in work of nature; (2) Professional qualifications; (3) Past experience; (4) Distance of office from Travis AFB, CA; (5) Capacity of the firm to do the prescribed wok in the required time; (6) Volume of work previously awarded. Respondents must be prepared to deal with surveys and abatement of asbestos and other hazardous materials encountered during design and construction. Respondents may be required to provide examples of completed projects and references during the selection process. Submission of Standard forms 254 and 255 are required.
