99 -- EMALL SOLICITATION SOL SP0103-98-R-0005 POC Brian Dudek, 215-737-5872 DLA is looking for vendors to offer spare parts on the Internet based Electronic Mall (Emall). Through the Emall, all military customers and other authorized users can search for and order spare parts and other needed logistics support items conveniently and quickly. Vendors should be manufacturers, distributors, or dealers, and have the ability to provide specific manufacturer's or military spare parts, must offer prompt delivery and must be able to transmit and receive EDI transactions. The types of parts we are looking for are those which are currently being managed by Defense Industrial Supply Center (DISC). These spare parts can be broken out in two groups, namely Industrial or General. Examples of commodities that are managed by the Industrial group are Fasteners and Metals. The General group manages commodities like Material Handling, Safe Environment, Imaging and Information, Food Service, Facilities Maintenance, etc. For a further breakout of commodities, please refer to the DISC website at http://ww.disc.dla.mil/pu/acquisition/compcat/comp1.html. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)will be hosting an Emall Pre-Proposal conference (Place and time to be announced at a later date).
