The FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire electronic software maintenance services of the following operating and business application software products: Microsoft's Windows 95, Microsoft's Windows NT Workstations, Microsoft's Office Professional, Microsoft's Project, Microsoft's Publisher, Microsoft's Visual Basic Enterprise Edition, Microsoft's Backoffice Client, Microsoft's Backoffice Server, Microsoft's Site Server, CyberMedia Inc.'s First Aid Deluxe, Intessera's Technology's VueFinder 4.2, Intessera's FileHaven/Net Sentinel, Raxco Software's PerfectDisk NT, Raxco Software's Remotely Possible/32, Fenestrae's Faxination and Fenestrae's VoiXX . Services will be provided in support of an estimated 396,200 users at the Defense Logistics Agency, Department of Energy, Air Force Material Command, Department of Army, Joint Chiefs and the Department of Navy's Facilities Engineering Command, Shipyards, Security Group and miscellaneous activities. The required services are to be procured on a sole source basis from Software.net Corporation, 550 S. Winchester Blvd., Suite 301, San Jose, CA 95128 pursuant to the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Only Software.net Corporation is capable of providing the required modifications and upgrades to the software products identified above through Electronic Distribution Technology (EDT). EDT encrypts the software and creates an electronic container for transmission, downloading and distribution over the Internet. A password is then Emailed to the customer to unlock the encrypted container. Electronic software maintenance will be required during a five year period of performance consisting of a base year and four one year option periods. An indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract with fixed prices is anticipated. The SIC Code for this procurement is 7379. (0111)
