R -- SECURE STORAGE AND DISTRIBUTION OF BOXES OF FOOD COUPONS SOL RFP FNS 99-003SUZ DUE 062998 POC Suzanne A. Pastura The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service (FNS), is seeking contractor assistance to securely warehouse and prepare for shipment boxes of food coupons. The contractor shall also provide: (1) inventory accountability; (2) data processing support; and (3) labeling, loading, accountability for, and tracking of shipments to the different locations. The contractor shall also contract with armored carrier companies to transport the food coupons to their final destinations. There are six different box types which include: $2, $7, $10, &40, $50, and $65 food coupon books. Contract Year 1 will begin October 1, 1998 and extend through September 30, 1999 with four additional years to follow. Approximately 100,000 square feet of warehousing space will be required. Offers will be due on or about June 29, 1998. Awards will be determined competitively by FNS. All qualified organizations interested in receiving a copy of the Request for Proposal when it is issued MUST submit their requests in writing and MUST include four (4) self-addressed mailing labels.
