B -- B ARMY BUSINESS PARK PRIVATIZATION INITIATIVE. SOL 110&&&-9804-0001 POC Contact Lara Osmon, 573/563-4004/ Contracting Officer, Darlene Pemberton, 573/596-0248 (Site Code DABT31) The Army has a study underway to determine feasibility of establishing a 200 acre business park on Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, as a privatization initiative. The park will include both military and non-military related tenants. The park will have full utilities to include natural gas and fiber optics, interstate, air and rail access, and availability of a quality workforce. Implementation alternatives are being identified and assessed. One alternative is to competitively select a park developer and manager to master plan the park and design/build/lease for both the Army and other tenants. The Army will receive favorable lease rates in consideration of the long term land lease it will provide to the developer. The study should be completed by October 1998. On 5 May 1998, the Army will provide a briefing to all interested park developers or potential tenants. The briefing, followed by a question and answer period, will be given at Fort Leonard Wood, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, at a location to be announcedlater.
