Subject to availability of funds, the Food and Drug Administration intends to award sole source contracts to approximately ten (10) State Agencies (who have been in the current Tissue Residue Contract Program) to conduct a new pilot contract program to enhance local and regional partnerships to promote awareness and implementation of food safety and good production practices which are HACCP compatible and reduce the risk of chemical, physical, and where appropriate, microbial public health hazards in animals.
