given that the National Park Service proposes to award a concession
permit authorizing the continued sales of visitor convenience items and
photographic supplies in conjunction with Cooperating Association
Activities within Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site.
EFFECTIVE DATE: July 6, 1998 ADDRESS: Interested parties should contact
Superintendent Andrew E. Banta, Fort Union Trading Post National
Historic Site, R.R. 3, Box 71, Williston, North Dakota 55801, or phone
(701-572-9083) to obtain a copy of the prospectus. This describes the
requirements of the proposed concessions permit to be awarded for a
period of four years, approximately October 1, 1998 through September
30, 2002. All proposals to be evaluated and considered must be received
by the Superintendent, Fort Union Trading Post NHS, R.R. 3, Box 71,
Williston, North Dakota 55801,no later than 4:30 p.m.(Mountain Time)on
July 6, 1998. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: This permit has been
determined to be categorically excluded from the procedural provisions
to the National Environmental Policy Act and no environmental document
will be prepared. The Secretary of the Interior will consider and
evaluate all proposals received in response to this notice. FOR FURTHER
