This is a Pre-Solicitation notice for Project No. BKTZ000176A, "Construct Squadron Operations Facility." Successful contractor shall provide all plant, labor, materials, equipment, incidentals, and services to perform the required work necessary to construct approximately twenty-four thousand one hundred (24,700) square foot, two story training, and administrative building. This facility will consists of engineered fill with a reinforced concrete foundation and floor slab with steel framed masonry walls and roof structure. Site improvements include clearing and grubbing, earthwork, grassing, and erosion control. The contractor shall provide all necessary drainage devices (pipes, end treatment, culvert, flumes, ditches, inlets, curb, etc.), gutter, paving, and pavement striping. Building support systems includes the plumbing, piping, mechanical, electrical, sound, CCTV, telephone, and data. The work shall follow the project drawings and specifications. The period of performance will be four hundred twenty-five calendar days beginning with the issuance of the Notice To Proceed. Plans and specifications will be available on or about May 15, 1998. A non-refundable certified check or money order, not a company check is required for plans and specifications in the amount of one hundred seventy ($170.00) dollars made payable to the Treasurer of the U.S.. The solicitation can be provided at no cost. Plans and specifications will also be available for review at various plan houses within the state of Tennessee. Contractors can call the contract specialist listed above for these locations. The estimated cost of construction for this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
