Contractor shall provide all plant, materials, equipment, tools and labor required to perform the work necessary to complete the project in accordance with the contract specifications and drawings. Work consists of but is not limited to: Repair existing sewer/water/storm systems or to install new sewer/water/storm systems on Elmendorf AFB, AK. The work areas are: all base sewer, water and storm utility systems, which includes all pipes, manholes, fittings, valves, and fire hydrants. The work items include, but not limited to: pipe replacing, pipe lining, manhole lining, patching or replacing, new fire hydrants, new valves and valve boxes, asphalt paving, replace concrete curbs and gutters, replace concrete sidewalks, pavement markings, base course and subbase work, and others. Magnitude is over $10,000,000.00. Performance period is 365 calendar days with two option year. Solicitation will be available on or about 21 APR 98 with a BOD of 21 MAY 98. There is no charge for package.Package will be sent upon written request. Request shall include mailing address, phone and fax number, and size of business. This competition will be limited to 8(a) firms serviced by the Small Business Association in Anchorage, Alaska District Office which have SIC Code 1623 among their approved SIC Codes. All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit offers. Joint Venture Agreements- Joint Ventures are allowable on competitive 8(a) set-asides, however, the Joint Venture Agreement must be received by SBA prior to proposal due date and approved before award of a resulting contract. If you are contemplating a Joint Venture on this project, you must advise your assigned Business Opportunity Specialist (BOS) as soon as possible. It is also recommended that the agreement be submitted as soon as practicable to ensure compliance with established regulations. Any corrections and/or changes needed can be made only when your BOS has adequate time for a thorough review before the proposal due date.
