mattsonk.jfk@navair.navy.mil. The Naval Air Systems Command intends to
issue a study order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-96-G-0023
with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, 6900 Main Street, Stratford, CT to
investigate the feasibility and develop and test Automatic Flight
Control Computer (AFCC) flight control algorithms in order to achieve
an automatic approach and departure performance profile and to develop
a configuration identification unique to the SH-60R without an AFCC
hardware change. The present AFCC H-60 configuration capabilities will
be retained and unaffected. The final product of this effort will be
the modification of three government furnished equipment AFCCs.
Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation is the sole designer and producer of the
H-60 aircraft and alone possesses the knowledge, data and experienced
personnel required to accomplish this effort within the time-frame
required by the Fleet. (0113) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0016 19980427\B-0001.SOL)
