The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a study order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-96-G-0023 with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, 6900 Main Street, Stratford, CT to verify the flight safety aspects of the integrated Automatic Flight Control Computer/Embedded Global Positioning System Inertial Navigation System by evaluating detailed design information including system block diagrams, schematics and installation drawings, failure mode analyses, fault tree analyses, hardware and software documentation, bench and aircraft installation and acceptance test procedures, identification of fault insertion techniques and methodologies, sneak circuit and gain and phase margin analyses for changes in all flight sensor systems. Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation is the sole designer and producer of the H-60 aircraft and alone possesses the knowledge, data and experienced personnel required to accomplish this effort within the time-frame required by the Fleet.
