The Government is currently conducting a Commercial Activities Study under OMB-A76 for transportation services at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Virginia, and seeks to identify vendors who have the capability and interest in performing these services. Services include the management and operation of transportation and construction equipment and crane and rigging operations by a combination firm fixed price and indefinite quantity type contract. The procurement will be conducted utilizing source selection procedures. Evaluation of proposals will be based on price and non-price items including experience, staffing, scheduling and past performance. An announcement will be issued approximately 13 May 1998 to announce the solicitation phase of the procurement. Tentatively, proposals will be received the end of June.
