Provide all personnel, equipment, tools, material, training, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform general library services at Shaw AFB, South Carolina. The contractor shall be responsible for the following: ADMINISTRATION; Operate a general library as defined by AFI 34-113, Air Force Library and Information Systems, as supplemented by Air Combat Command. PUBLIC SERVICE; Provide reference and reader services to all authorized customers. MISSION SUPPORT/AIR FORCE INITIATIVES; Provide mission support for all authorized offices and tenant organizations with support agreements on Shaw AFB. Annually determine their mission and any changes from the previous year. Provide support as requested. EDUCATION SUPPORT; Provide collections, services, and staff to support base voluntary educational programs. TECHNICAL SERVICES; Request purchase of information materials and services for the library. Materials for the library include, but are not limited to, books, periodicals, microforms, CD-ROM information resources, cassettes, books-on-tape, video, and compact disks. AUTOMATION; Provide the latest version, state-of-the-art, computer hardware, software, LAN, Internet, and telecommunications to support library operation and functions. The contract period will be for a total of five (5) years (basic period with four one-year options). This solicitation will not result in a contract if government performance is determined to be more advantageous. The applicable SIC code for this requirement is 8231 and the corresponding size standard is $5.0 million. This project is being considered for 100% small business set-aside.
