PUBLIC SALE OF SURPLUS 1200 FOOT ANTENNA TOWER The Government is offering for sale the felled 1200-foot steel antenna tower (weight approx. 772 tons) to be removed from the site at the Forestport Test Annex, North Lake Road, Town of Ohio, New York. The sale of the tower will be in accordance with the specifications in Bid Invitation No. AFMC-HN-98-113. Concrete anchors and ground plane are not included. Sealed bids in duplicate will be received by the Realty Officer, Air Force Research Laboratory/Information Directorate (AFRL/IF), 153 Brooks Road, Rome Research Site, New York 13441-4105 until 1 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, May 26, 1998, at which time the bids will be opened and read aloud. The felled 1200-foot steel antenna tower may be inspected at the Forestport Test Annex through 21 May, 1998 -- Interested parties may apply at the Office of the Realty Officer between the hours of 9 A.M. and 3 P.M., Monday through Friday, Telephone 314-330-4014 or 315-338-9782. Bid forms and information concerning the sale may be obtained from the Office of theRealty Officer at AFRL/IF, 153 Brooks Road, Rome, NY 13441-4105. All Bids submitted shall be deemed to have been made after an inspection of the property and with full knowledge of the requirements contained in the Invitation for Bid. All bids will remain open for acceptance or rejection for a period of three (3) calendar days from the date of public opening.
