The USDA Forest Products Laboratory, Madison, Wisconsin is soliciting quotes for construction of a Wet Fire Protection Sprinkler System for Building 2 . The scope of work is to provide and furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, testing, supplies and perform all work required to complete the project in accordance with drawings, specifications and terms and conditions of the contract. The complete construction shall include (1) selective demolition of concrete and paved parking and driveways and (2) construction of plumbing, electrical, and fire alarm systems. Specifically, the required work is to install a sprinkler system for fire suppression in Forest Products Laboratory Building 2. Included in this work are the water main connection, controls, a connection to the existing Simplex fire alarm system and related activities to make the systems operate as designed. Evaluation will be made using simplified acquisition procedures (FAR 13.106-2). Selection will be made from the source, which in the opinion of the government offers the best value to the Government. Price, past performance, experience, warranty, technical support, knowledge of the site, plan for completion and capability of items offered to meet the need for the particular purpose are all criteria that will be considered in evaluation. Contract time is required within 60 days and desired sooner please advise in your quotation. Award of a firm-fixed-price contract is anticipated. Price range is estimated between $25,000 and $100,000. This acquisition is not set aside for small business all licensed, responsible sources may submit a quotation.
