Johnson, Contract Officer The National Imagery and Mapping Agency has a requirement to procure various configurations of the Remote Replication System (RRS). These requirements include potential buys for the entire basic system, by modular portions of the system, or individual components. The RRS is comprised of commercial hardware and software, which is configured to provide NIMA with a system capability for reproducing hardcopy maps and charts from both hardcopy and digital sources. The hardware and software requirements that encompass the RRS configuration include but are not limited to the following items:. HARDWARE: HP 9000 Series 700 Model 735 Workstation (CRX 19" Monitor, 3.5" Floppy Drive, Keyboard, Mouse), Subsystem A, C, E, & G (JMR Microtower, Kingston DataExpress Disk Drive Holder, HP 3.5" SCSI Disk Drive, Quantum 3.5" Disk Drive, HP SCSI terminator), Subsystem B (JMR Minitower, CD-ROM Disk Drive, 8mm Data Cartridge Drive, Tandberg ?" Cartridge Tape Subsystem, 9 track Tape Drive), HP LaserJet 4M Plus Printer, Tangent Scanner (CCS 400-70F), Sun Sparc 20 Series Model 61 Workstation (320MB RAM, 20" TurboGX Color Monitor, Internal 3.5" Floppy Disk Drive SunCD 2Plus CD-ROM Drive), Subsystem D (JMR Microtower, Kingston DataExprress Disk Drive Holder, Quantum 3.5" Disk Drive, 8mm Mammoth Tape Subsystem), RAID Subsystem (RAID Controller, 9GB Disk Drive, 32MB Memory Cache), 3M 9612 Printer, Xerox 8954 Color Graphics Printer, Sun SPARCstation 4 or 5 (32 MB RAM, 1GB Disk Drive, 3.5" floppy disk Drive, SunCD 2Plus CD-ROM drive,), Power Supplies, SGI Printer, HP 3500, HP DesignJet 750C Printer, SP2000 Scanner, cases to house some hardware, and various size GB Disk Drives. SOFTWARE: Adobe Photoshop, Arcview, Image Alchemy Postscript, Image Alchemy Motif, Scotchprint Graphic Maker, Lansafe III, Netscape, MakeDisk, Tangent Tscan, ENVI-RT, and DiskSuite. In addition, initial provisioning for consumable items will be needed to support the RRS. Initial provisioning includes but is not limited to the following items: Coated Paper 36x150, HP InkJet Print Cartridge, Thermal InkJet Paper, HP 4mm Cleaning Cartridge, HP 4mm 4-8GB Data Cartridge, 8mm Cleaning Cartridge, 8MM Mammoth Data Cartridge, and CD-R 650MB. The solicitation will be issued in late Spring or early Summer. The proposal due date will be in June/July (tentative). Award will be made on a best value basis. All requests for solicitations must be in writing. To the fullest extent possible, solicitations will be provided to interested parties electronically via E-mail or posted to the internet.
