The NBC Ground Systems Integrated Product Team at the Human Systems Program Office, Brooks AFB, TX, is contemplating the acquisition of modified commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Storage/Shipping Containers. This announcement is NOT a formal solicitation and is NOT a request for proposals. Any formal solicitation will be announced separately. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The storage/shipping containers will be stored in an open environment; contents must be protected from the environment. The following are the minimum essential requirements of the storage/shipping containers: DIMENSIONS -- (1) no larger than 10'L x 8'W x 8 1/2'H and no smaller than 8 2/3'L x 7'W x 8'H (2) weather proof (to withstand outdoor storage and shipping conditions) (3) can be palletized for airlift capability (4) shippable via truck or ship and not required to be stacked (5) standard forklift capability (less than 13K lbs capacity) (6)standard lifting eyelets (to load on ships) (7) swinging doors or roll up doors (1 set). Information submitted should be pertinent and specific. Published price lists are also requested. Please indicate whether your company is a small, large or small disadvantaged business.
