Contract Specialist, (404) 842-6719 The Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention contemplates awarding a contract for on-site computer system
programming and support of a Grants Management Information System(GMIS)
currently located at the Buckhead facility (Atlanta, GA) of CDC. This
acquisition is reserved exclusively for participation by small business
concerns. It is expected that one individual working full time will be
required to provide the on-site support. The GMIS is an application
written using a Software AG database (ADABAS V6.2.1) and programming
tool (Natural V2.2.8). The system resides on an IBM 9672-R64 mainframe
computer running OS/390 R2. User access is obtained through personal
computers connected using Novell Netware local area networks (LANs)
which are connected into a wide area network with an SNA gateway to the
mainframe. In addition to on-site system support and programming, there
will be a requirement to update the CDC user manual for the system and
prepare technical documentation for the purpose of converting toa
Client Server based system in the future. The scheduled issue date for
the solicitation is approximately May 15, 1998. Only written requests

be approximately 30 days after the RFP release date. Requests for the
