dockside repairs including but not limited to the following minimum
items: (1) Tank Cleaning, Inspection, Fuel Removal and Disposal, (2)
Install Fuel Tank Stripping Line, (3) Inspect and Test Air Receivers
and Relief Valves, (4) Inspect, Overhaul and Test Barge Boat Davit, (5)
Overhaul Air Capstan, (6) Inspect, Overhaul, and Test Appleton Crane,
(7) Inspect Various Deck Fittings, (8) Renew Deck Covering, (9) Renew
Main Diesel Engine and Ships Service Diesel Generator Exhaust Piping
Insulation, (10) Provide Temporary Logistics, etc. Indefinite items
include but are not limited to the following: (1) Remove, Dispose, and
Replenish Additional Diesel Fuel, (2) Minor Coating Repairs to Barge
and Tender Diesel Fuel Tanks, (3) Blast Clean Diesel Fuel Tanks --
Barge and Tender, (4) Additional Temporary Logistics, etc. Vessel's
homeport is Hickman, KY. Place of performance is restricted to the
Western Rivers of the United States. The "Western Rivers" means the
navigable portions of the Mississippi River and its tributaries above
mile 0 of the Lower Mississippi River. Navigable tributaries of the
Mississippi River include only the waterways within the areas of
jurisdiction of Coast Guard Aids to Navigation Facilities as described
in Light List Volume V (COMDTINST M16502.5), and the
Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway to the mouth of the Mobile River. This
includes protected portions of the Intra Coastal Waterway connected to
the "Western Rivers," but specifically excludes unprotected or open
waters such a Mobile Bay, Lake Borne, or the Gulf of Mexico. Vessel's
availability schedule is 17 AUG 1998 for 28 calendar days. Vessel is a
75 Foot "E" Class River Buoy Tender and 130 Foot Barge . All
referenced documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street,
Suite 500, Norfolk, VA. A charge of $100.00 is required in the form of
a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard
for requested drawings. All businesses, large and small, are
encouraged to submit bids for the subject requirements. Plans and
specifications will be issued on or after 13 MAY 98. All responsible
sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the United States
