Blotzer (573) 596-0251 (Site Code DABT31) The Army intends to award a contract to operate and maintain real property and equipment within the Chemical Defense Training Facility (CDTF) at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Operations and maintenance duties will include work on a Direct Digital Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Integrated Control System, safety operations, environmental monitoring, miniature chemical agent monitoring systems, and protective clothing and equipment maintenance and certification operations. As a result of Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Act of 1995, the United States Army Chemical School (USACMLS) will relocate to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri (FLW, MO). As part of the move, the USACMLS is establishing a new CDTF with construction to be completed in December 1998. The Army uses the CDTF to train personnel in chemical defensive measures: detection, identification, and decontamination of toxic chemical agents. The Army intends to train approximately 4,500 students per year at the CDTF. The complex will consist of an administration building, a guard house (entry control point), six outdoor simulant training pads, the main training building, and a training devices storage building. Fort Leonard Wood is located in the Missouri Ozark Region in Pulaski County along Interstate 44, 120 miles west of St. Louis, MO and 85 miles east of Springfield, MO. This notice serves to notify and solicit interested parties. A computerized CD ROM containing the CDTF Construction Drawings and a DRAFT RFP Section C.1 will be available to interested contractors/potential offerors after 11 May 1998.
