constitutes a request for informational and planning purposes only. The
responses to this request for information shall be those responents
that are Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and
Minority Institutions (MIs) that are accredited educational institution
at the graduate level. All services are to be performed at Fort Bragg,
NC in support of US Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and
School. Services are to provide instructional services for Masters
Degree program in International Studies or a related field. The Masters
Degree Program will be completed within a year. Graduate students will
meet the academic standards of the educational institution for
entrance into the graduate program. The institution shall also provide
instructors for teaching Regional studies in Asian, European, African
and Latin America The professors for the Masters Program shall have
been awarded a Ph.D from an accredited academic institution in their
respective area of expertise (International Relations, International
Studies, Political Science, History, International Economics,
International Law, Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, etc). The
professors for the Regional Studies Seminar Program shall have a
minimum Masters Degree, Ph.D. being highly desired, in an area of
expertise relating to International Studies. This may include
disciplines such as Political Science, History, anthropology, sociology
or Economics with an emphasis on Asian, Latin American, African, or
European issues. At least one RSC Seminar Director shall hold a Ph.D.,
in his/her respective area of expertise. The institution shall provide
a resident full time Research Assistant with a minimum of a BA/BS
degree. The Research Assistant shall have received instruction or
demonstrated experience in social science research methodology. A
concentration in social sciences (International Relations, Government
Political Science, Area Studies, or similar discipline) is preferred.
The Research Assistant shall be familiar with standard office
equipment, i.e., IBM compatible personal computers, facsimile machines,
photocopiers, etc. Experience with Microsoft Office software id
desirable but not required. The Research Assistant shall be familiar
with US military organizations and rank structure. The institution
shall provide a resident, full-time Administrative Assistant with
sufficient expertise in office management and administrative skills
that includes: typing proficiency (min 50 wpm), computer hardware and
software (Microsoft Office Suite) knowledge of Army correspondence
procedures, records management and filing systems. The Administrative
Assistant shall be familiar with U.S. military organizations and rank
structure. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the
basis of this notification or otherwise pay for any information of
inquiry. This synopsis does not constitute a request for proposal and
is not considered to be a commitment by the government. All respondents
