Contracts Office, Contract@nist.gov. The National Institute of
Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a contractor to
supply and install a universal milling and boring machine center. The
equipment is required to be a computer numerically controlled, single
spindle, swivel-type vertical machining center, with an automatic tool
changer and swiveling circular indexing table. The machine is required
to perform machining operation to precision tolerances as specified.
Complete specifications shall be issued with the Request for Quotation
(RFQ).- Quantity: 1 each -- Destination: NIST, Gaithersburg, MD --
Delivery: is desired within 60 days but required within 90 days after
the order is placed. -- This requirement is being procured using the
test program identified in the Federal Acquisition Regulations Subpart
13.6 -- The SIC for this requirement is 3545. -- All responsible
sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
