SOL WASC8-1005 DUE 050898 POC Randall Brown (206) 526-6226/FAX (206) 526-6025 Reference WASC-8-1005 posted in the 3/25/98 CBD for ten (10) compact manually-operated three-way G&W SF6 gas-filled transfer switches. Following replaces original solicitation in its entirety: Request for quotation WASC-8-1005 issued for ten (10) ea. manually-operated three-way (on/off/on) 15KV @ 600A transfer switch with a 40 KA momentary rating. G&W Electric Model RAD31-376M-40SF or equal. The switch shall be an MR type, vault style, front access/bottom entry, 110KV BIL, dead front construction. Each switch must include open stud 15KV bushings, stands, and perimeter cover plates around the stands that will prevent the infiltration of snow, dirt, or other environmental hazards. Switches must measure 28 inches height x 23 inches depth x 42.75 inches width, or be smaller in size to fit existing space. Switches shall be gas-filled and designed to operate at -66 degrees F at an elevation 340M. Provide drawings of proposed switches with quote. Ten switches shall be delivered to NOAA/NESDIS Fairbanks and Command Data Acquisition Station, 1 Eisele Road, Fairbanks AK ten (10) weeks after contract award. All switches shall be tested to industry standards in-plant. NOAA reserves right to witness any in-plant testing of the switches and to review the condition of the switches prior to release from manufacturing and shipping. Provide Federal tax ID and DUNS number with quote. Quotes will be accepted FOB Fairbanks AK only, other quotes will not be accepted and considered non-responsive.
