70 -- GENERAL-PURPOSE AUTOMATED DATA PROCESSING EQUIPMENT (INCLUDING FIRMWARE), SOFTWARE, SUPPLIES, AND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT SOL 6TSA-98-CSC-0114 DUE 043098 POC Point of Contact -- Contact Sue Cumpton by fax (816)823-3322 The General Services Administration intends to issue a contract to Connection Machines Services Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 through solicitation number 6TSA-98-CSC-0114. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-03. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A J&A for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement is for re-certification of system and maintenance and support through 4/30/99 with options through 4/30/2001. This includes hardware maintenance on the CM-5 System, including labor, spare parts and supplies and software maintenance for the CM5-SWP2-S-32 and CM/AVS S-32 for 12 months. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. However, this notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All proposals received by 4/30/98 will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
