drapers@cc.tacom.army.mil. The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments
Command is contemplating the acquisition to perform an Engineering
Study of and provide prototype Container Transport Kits for carrying
Commercial ISO Containers on existing M1076 Palletized Load System

approaches, and evaluating/trading-off each potential approach to
modifying the existing M1076 PLS Trailer for transporting Commercial
ISO Containers. The study will address the capability to transload
standard ISO containers [8'(height) x 8'(width) x 20'(length) and
8'6"x8'x20'] from a PLS Truck to PLS Trailer, secure (lock down) the
ISO container to the PLS Trailer/Trailer interface and transport the
ISO container on the PLS Trailer (without using a flatrack as an
interface). Maximum height requirement: Must be able to transport an
8'6" high ISO container, loaded onto a PLS Trailer, under a standard 4
