66 -- LATENT FINGERPRINT CHAMBER DUE 050598 POC Richard I. Sanders 202/324-0565 This is a Request for Information (RFI), Small Business and 8(a) firms are encouraged to respond to this RFI. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is requesting concerns having the ability to furnish the supplies described herein are requested to give written notification (including the telephone number for point of contact) to the procuring office noted above within five (5) days from date of this announcement for the following item: Cyanocrylate fuming chambers. The future solicitation will be a for a Firm-Fixed Price Contract. The contractor will be required to furnish all materials, equipment, and personnel necessary to manage this project. with the following specifications of the fuming chamber to include but not limited to the following: chambers should be portable, have an electronic control panel to include but not limited to controls for :humidity;lights; heater(s); purging;fuming and exhaust cycles; main power and circulation fan. The chamber size should be at a minimum of 4'x6'x7' with large access doors with viewing ports and vapor seals. Respondents must supply sufficient technical documentation for the Government to determine the ability to meet the above listed requirements. Evidence shall be presented in the following fashion (1) Ability to perform under this contract, stressing your company's capability. This shall include: (a) Identification of specific experience in providing Latent Fingerprint Chambers or similar items. Provide the history, Agency/company, point of contact, phone number, dollar value of past 3 private/government contracts for the above mentioned equipment. (b) Specifications of proposed offered item. Description how equipment will be assembled and/or ship. THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND WILL ASSIST THIS OFFICE IN DETERMINING IF ANY VENDORS ARE CAPABLE OF MEETING THIS REQUIREMENT.
