Johnson, Phone: 301-227-2158 This announcement modifies the NIMA announcement dated 15 April 1998 (STESCW80720300) where Power Mac G3/266MHZ workstations were solicited by replacing it in its entirety with the following: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-04 and DAC 91-12. Requirement: 1. Apple Power Mac G3/300MHZ w/ 128MB RAM, 2 4GB UWS HDD's, 24X CD-ROM, 8MB SGRAM, and 10/100 BAS-T -- Quantity 6; 2. 128MB SDRAM DIMM installed in Power MAC G3's -- Quantity 6; 3. Iomega ZIP Drive w/ ZIP ZOOM SCSI Accelerator, installed in Power Mac G3's Quantity 6; 4. 1XMICRO TWIN TURBO 128 (8MB) PCI Graphics Card installed in Power Mac G3's -- Quantity 6; 5. JAZ Drive 1GB Internal SCSI, including brackets or open bay kits, installed in Power Mac G3's -- Quantity 6; 6. 21in. Hitachi MC801HR Monitor (1600X1200 @75Hz) -- Quantity 6; 7. 15in. The following clauses apply to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-1, FAR 52.212-2 (evaluation is based on price of first configuration. The Government reserves the right to evaluate the monitors separate from the workstation items.), FAR 52.212-3 (to be provided with quotation), FAR 52.212-4, FAR 52.212-5 (appropriate clauses will be defined at time of award, IAW w/ the FAR), and DFARS 252.212-7001 (appropriate clauses will be defined at time of award, IAW w/ the DFARS). Clauses are not applicable if items are ordered via GSA/Agency Schedule/Contract Vehicle. In this case, the Schedule/Contract Vehicle terms and conditions shall apply. The following Year 2000 Compliance clause is made part of this solicitation and resulting contract: Year 2000 Compliance -- Commercial Supply Items: The Contractor shall ensure that all information technology such as: hardware; software; and firmware delivered under this contract that is required to perform date/time processing involving dates subsequent to December 31, 1999, be Year 2000 compliant pursuant to the definition below; Definition: Year 2000 compliant means, with respect to information technology, that the information technology accurately processes date/time data (including, but not limited to, calculating, comparing, and sequencing) from, into, and between the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, and the years 1999 and 2000 and leap year calculations, to the extend that other information technology used in combination with the information technology being acquired, properly exchanges date/time data with it.
