amendment to the original PRDA Number 98-31, published 15 April 98,
clarifies and makes changes to the INTRODUCTION and Sections
B-REQUIREMENTS, C-ADDITIONAL INFORMATION, D-PROPOSAL PREPARATION
INSTRUCTIONS, E-BASIS FOR AWARD and F-POINTS OF CONTACT. Note: Any
reference to this acquisition throughout the CBD announcement should
read: GRAM-SAASM, and any reference to Navstar should read: NAVSTAR.
INTRODUCTION: The proposal submittal date has been extended to 22 May
1998 at 1500 hours PDT, all other proposal submittal information
remains unchanged. Last sentence, PRDA Guide Internet address is
changed to read at: http//www.wrs.afrl.af.mil/contract/prdag.htm.
Section B-REQUIREMENTS: (1) sentence 1 is changed to read as follows:
...research and development of multiple GRAM-SAASM cards that are
applicable to a variety of GPS Host Application Equipment (HAE). (2)
Deliverable items, paragraph (a) is changed to read: The primary
product of this effort shall be a non-proprietary interface control
document (ICD). The ICD will become a stand alone Form Factor Appendix
to the GRAM Guidelines and shall define the following items for the
given GRAM-SAASM form factor: the input signal format,
mechanical/physical interface, signal interface characteristics, and
connector pinouts. This ICD shall be delivered at the completion of the
contract. Paragraph (b), sentence 1 is changed to: Test data from a
functional GRAM-SAASM prototype configuration for a given form factor.
(2b), sentence 4, Change to: ... and connector pinouts that are
equivalent to the pre-production configuration. C-ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION: (4) Type of Contract, delete the words "completion form".
(6) Government Furnished Information delete the last sentence "POC is
Lt. Kevin Clark". D-PROPOSAL PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS: (1) General

inclusion of the following NAVWAR common anti-jam enhancements: two

Test data from a functional GRAM-SAASM pre-production prototype
configuration is more desirable than test data from a functional
GRAM-SAASM development prototype configuration. FORM FACTOR MARKET BASE
(c), sentence 2 is changed to read as follows: Status of existing
production contracts and plans to inject a GRAM-SAASM configuration
into existing production contracts., sentence 3 is changed to read as
follows: Plans for proposing and injecting a GRAM-SAASM configuration
into new and upcoming programs. SCHEDULE (a) add the following:
"Weighting will be added to proposals that will have a pre-production
GRAM-SAASM configuration by the end of the period of performance.
