A -- FOLLOW-ON FOCUS DEVELOPMENT SOL NMA202-97-R-1084 POC Brian Wolfe, Contracting Officer, 301/227-4244, wolfeb@nima.mil IAW FAR 6.302-1(a)(ii), the Government intends to procure on a sole source basis from Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space division a demonstration of a follow-on advanced operational prototype testbed system using Image Understanding and ATR-like technologies to support the prioritization of classified NTM imagery for IA and/or Geographer attention; primarily in areas and regions associated with significant change in airfield fixed facilities and/or events of intelligence or geospatial information importance at such airfields. The contractor will also expand the algorithm suite to support intelligence problems, activities and events at installations other than airfields. Project will include delivery and installation of the Sun Ultra Sparc-based FOCUS S/W and database, testing and debugging, image handling, model to image registration (fine adjustment), "steady state" operational support, and user documentation and training. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in preparing a response to this announcement. Award is anticipated on or before 11 June 1998. There is no formal solicitation package available, this notice is simply an announcement of the Government's intent, not a request for proposals. Note 22 applies, however, all offers received within 15 days (in lieu of 45 days) after the date of publication will be considered by the Government. (0118)
