Work includes analyzing the entire fire alarm system in Building 100 to ensure all areas are properly signaled. Provide all design to include preliminary design, construction drawings and specifications, a detailed cost estimate, submittal review, construction period services, and record drawing services. The A/E shall determine the best method to upgrade as many components as possible to bring the current system up to the latest standards and provide maximum addressability throughout Building 100 (to be compatible with addressable devices in Building 1). The 1996 editions of NFPA 72, 90A, 99 and the 1997 edition of NFPA 101 shall be used. All drawings shall be produced using AutoCad 14 and provided on CDrom format. The estimated construction cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Only firms with prior experience in the design of similar work, will be considered. Geographical consideration is not restricted to the Puget Sound area. This is not a request for proposal and is unrestricted as to business size. Those firms which meet the requirements are invited to submit two copies of Standard Forms 254 and 255 no later than May 29, 1998, at 4:00 p.m. (PST).
