The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division anticipates award of a 5 year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract with Firm-Fixed-Price pricing arrangements for CELLULAR PHONE EQUIPMENT AND ASSOCIATED SERVICE PLANS. A Sources Sought Announcement was published in the 19 February 1998 Commerce Business Daily to assess industry interest and to identify standard commercial practices. A draft solicitation is now available for industry review and further comment. The draft solicitation is available over the Internet at http://www.nswc.navy.mil/supply. In order to be considered, industry comments must be in writing and must be received on or before 15 May 1998. It is anticipated that a Request for Proposal will be issued on 5 June 1998 with a requirement for proposal receipt by 6 July 1998. Award of this contract is anticipated for 1 October 1998. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division is attempting to establish an efficient and economical means for obtaining mobile/wireless communications equipment and services for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division Laboratories which fall within the appropriate Regional Area (e.g. Dahlgren, Virginia and Indian Head, Maryland). The two Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division locations currently employ an estimated 5,000 individuals (3,100 at Dahlgren and 1,900 at Indian Head). Services will be required regionally within the following boundaries at a minimum: North to the Pennsylvania Line, South to Richmond, Virginia and West to portions of West Virginia plus areas of the Eastern Shore. Must include Fredericksburg, Virginia to Charlottesville Area. This procurement will be processed as an Unrestricted Procurement.
