FISC San Diego is announcing its intent to issue a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item and service prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement is also a sole source procurement issued to P.A.C. Heating & Air Conditioning in Lakeside CA (they currently hold the warranty and service contract for this site). This solicitation is under authority of FAR 6.302-1. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Quotes are being requested with this announcement. The solicitation number is N00244-98-Q-0237. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-47 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-11. The standard industrial code is 3585 and the business size standard is 750 employees. The agency need is for units for two separate parts of a building at 32nd street Naval Station. Clin 0001 is for on site service to remove and dispose of the existing equipment from bldg. 76 at 32nd street Naval Station in San Diego CA (Command suite) Upon completion of the above, the contractor shall provide and install three (3) each Rheem, mdl #RJKAA060DM 5 ton, 10 seer heat pump units, 460 volt/3 hp. Units shall include high-voltage, low voltage, condensate, thermostats, ducting, sheet metal flashing, and any other miscellaneous materials for installation. Clin 0002 is for on site service to provide and install three (3) each Rheem, mdl #RPKA036JAZ 3 ton, 10 seer heat pump units and three (3) each 3 ton seer fans coils, mdl #RBHA17J00NHCA in bldg. 76 at Naval Station San Diego CA (403/301. Units shall include high-voltage, low-voltage, condensate drain, thermostats, ducting, sheet metal, flashing, hanging hardware, refrigerant piping, and any other miscellaneous materials to complete the installation. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items applies. Addendum to FAR 52.212-1, paragraph (b)(5): Offers shall provide an express warranty which at a minimum shall be the same warranty terms, including offers of extended warranties, offered to the general public. Express warranties shall be included in the contract.
