The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking sources to provide emergency telephones for the parking lot areas on the Headquarters campus located in Baltimore, Maryland. In lieu of a buried cable configuration, SSA is seeking alternative solutions. Desired features include, but are not limited to, a weather-proof and vandal-resistant housing, location identification, and strobe lighting when the telephone is activated. All proposed equipment shall be year 2000 compliant and meet or exceed FCC regulations for telecommunications systems. The contractor shall be responsible for system implementation, design, engineering, documentation, installation, replacement parts, maintenance supplies, test equipment and maintaining the equipment in good operating condition. Maintenance response time shall be within 24 hours. SSA is interested in obtaining manufacturer brochures and equipment specifications. Vendors shall provide information about their company and include the number and qualifications of employees, detailing previous relevant experience and projects. Locations where similar equipment has been installed by the vendor shall also be provided. No cost or pricing data is required or requested. This is not a request for proposal, and the Government does not intend to pay for the information solicited or received. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of the source data received. Any interested organization must submit appropriate data in duplicated within fifteen (15) days of this announcement. (0119)
