Unit includes LANE and TCP/IP protocol decodes and traffic shaping and expandability: a) system interfaces available from TT through OC-12 line rates; b) traffic shaping for peak and constant cell rate, burst size and cell delay variation; c) traffic generation with programmable cell rates, payload size and bandwidth, including multiplexed cell stream generation consisting of at least 8 virtual paths and 8 virtual channels; d) traffic policing for tracking rate, delay and burst size violation with dual policers for peak and sustainable payload distribution and e) histograms for cell, delay transfer, interarrival time and VPI/VCI utilization.
