accordance with the Acquisition of Commercial Items, FAR Part 12. The
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to issue a Request for Quotes
(RFQ) to develop biological criteria for the recovery of Florida
scrub-jay populations on public lands in Brevard County, FL. Contractor
will be required to continue studies begun in 1997, including providing
(1) basic biological data (juvenile production, pair bond fidelity, sex
ratios, delayed breeding characteristics, and dispersal distances) to
enhance recovery; (2) initiate establishment of an accurate baseline of
habitat occupancy and population status; and (3) monitor population
demographic success in relation to management activities. These studies
will take place at the Malabar, Jordan, Valkaria, Babcock, and Micco
scrub sites. SIC Code: 8731. Size Standard 500 employees. Estimate
