limited to the following minimum items: (1) Install Steel Plates in
Sewage Tank Void, (2) 65' WYTL Watertight Hatch Replacement, (3) Renew
Mess deck Weather-Tight Door, (4) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall
Propeller Shafting, (5) Renew Water-Lubricated Shaft Bearings, (6)
Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller, (7) Clean and Test Grid
Coolers, (8) Preserve the Transducer Hull Ring and Renew the Depth
Indicating Transducer, (9) Renew and Test Valves, (10) Clean and
Inspect Diesel Fuel Tanks, (11) Clean and Inspect the Hydraulic Pump
and Reservoir and Overhaul the Steering Ram, (12) Remove, Inspect, and
Reinstall Rudder, (13) Preserve Engine Room Bilge, (14) Clean and
Inspect Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tank, (15) Clean,
Inspect, and Disinfect Potable Water Tank, (16) Renew Corrosion
Preventive Zinc Anodes, (17) Provide Temporary Messing, (18) Provide
Temporary Berthing, (19) Provide Temporary Logistics, and (20) Routine
Drydocking. Indefinite items include but are not limited to the
following: (1) Welding Repairs, (2) Renew Shaft Covering (50%), (3)
Straighten Shaft, (4) Renew Shaft Sleeves, (5) Perform Minor Repair and
Reconditioning of Propeller, (6) Renew Rudder Bearings, (7) Preserve
Underwater Body, (8) Preserve Sewage and Grey Water Collection and
Holding Tank, (9) Preserve Potable Water Tank, (10) Provide Additional
Temporary Messing, (11) Provide Additional Temporary Berthing, (12)
Ultransonic Testing (100 Shots per Group), (13) Provide Additional
Temporary Logistics, (14) Composite Labor Rate, and (15) Lay days.
Vessel's homeport is Portsmouth, VA. No open water transits; restricted
to the protected waters of the cutter's assigned area of operations.
Vessel's availability schedule is 10 AUG 1998 for 35 calendar days.
Vessel is a 65 Foot "A" Class Harbor Tug. All referenced documents are
available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 500, Norfolk, VA.
A charge of $100.00 is required in the form of a certified check or
money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested
drawings. All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit
bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be
issued on or after 18 MAY 98. All responsible sources may submit a bid
which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard.
