The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Acquisition Center (NAC) intends to issue a solicitation for the distribution of pharmaceutical products and selected medical-surgical products (outpatient pharmacy only) on a next-day delivery basis to VA healthcare facilities and other Government agencies (total 560 sites). The VA will issue one solicitation for 12 regions. Regions 3 ("Appalachians"), 7 ("Great Lakes"), and 9 ("Heartland") are set-aside for small business competition. Facilities in Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and Manila, PI are optional sites. The contract period of performance will consist of one base year plus four option years.
