69 -- VEHICLE SKID SIMULATOR POC Renea Morton, 202/435-6940 The U. S. Secret Service intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Skid Car U. S. A., Inc., DBA/SkidCar System, Inc., 19363 Williamette Drive, West Limm, OR, 97068, for one (1) vehicle skid simulator, spare hydraulic clamp fittings, spare electrical connectors, spare sensor, spare hinged actuating arm and training for 3-4 instructors (4-days) and 2 mechanics (1-day). The vehicle skid simulator is a patented product and SkidCar Systems, Inc. is the exclusive distributor of this device in North America. Delivery 90 days ARO, F.O.B. Destination, Inspection and acceptances shall be at destination. Solicitation package is not available. This is a notice of intent to sole source and is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement, on a full and open competitive basis upon receipt of responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested firms must submit capability statements and provide written pricing information. Only written responses will be accepted and must be received within 15 calendar days of the date of this notice. Prospective offers must also provide information detailing past performance in providing similar or like services, for the past three years, at time of proposal submission. The Government anticipates an award date on or about May 22, 1998. Please note: Quotes submitted by FAX will not be accepted. All responsible offerors shall mail quotes to the U. S.
