LeQuang, Contracting Officer, 202/708-7654 The U.S. Department of Education, Office of the Undersecretary, requires a contractor to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the Magnet Schools Assistance Program (MSAP). The purpose of this evaluation is to provide Congress, the MSAP, and other policy makers with information regarding the uses, successes, problems, and various other issues associated with federally funded magnet schools. The evaluation of the MSAP will span three years of the 1998 MSAP grant cycle. The duration of this contract is expected to be 60 months. Requests for copies of the RFP may be made by telephone, mail,telegram, Internet, or in person. All requests shall reference the RFP number (ED-98-R-0010) and title. Telephone requests may be placed by calling 202-708-6498. Mail or telegram requests shall be sent to the above address, Room 3616, ATTN: Yolanda Abney. Issuing date is on or about May 29, 1998 and Closing date July 6, 1998. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered. Prospective offerors are hereby notified that a pre-proposal conference is scheduled for June 5, 1998 at 10 AM at the following address: U.S. Department of Education, Federal Office Building No. 10, 600 Independence Avenue, SW, Room 2145 Washington, DC 20202. Offerors are requested to forward in writing no later than 2 PM June 4 1998, any concerns or issues they wish to see addressed at the pre-proposal conference.
