CONTRACT INFORMATION: Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 the Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, intends to award a sole source modification to Coffman Engineers, Inc. to perform the services described below. If an AE is interested and believes they are capable of performing this work, they are invited to submit their letter of interest. All responders are advised that this project may be canceled or revised at any time during the solicitation, evaluation, negotiation and final award. Modification award is anticipated for June 98. 2. PROJECT INFORMATION: Design construction documents for the renovation of the following items in Building 600, Fort Richardson, Alaska; modification of heating system to provide a second propylene glycol heating loop to serve the new and existing air handling units, replacement of domestic water piping to include asbestos abatement on existing piping, renovation of five large combination restrooms and showerrooms into separate male and female restrooms, and renovation of six small restrooms. The firm must demonstrate ability to provide CADD formatted drawings and use MCACES-Gold (cost-estimating system). The MCACES-Gold program will be provided by the Government. Letters of interest from responding firms MUST be received at the address indicated above not later the COB (4:00 pm Alaska time) on the 30th day from the date of this announcement. If the 30th day is a Saturday, Sunday or Federal Holiday, the deadline is the close of business of the next business day. Any letters received after this date cannot be considered. No additional information shall be provided, and no faxed letters shall be accepted. Solicitation packages are not provided.
