N -- PROVIDE AND INSTALL SOUND REINFORCEMENT AND VIDEO SYSTEMS, US FEDERAL COURTHOUSE, SANTA ANA, CA SOL OXHSFDX-98-019 DUE 070198 POC Denise Reavis, 202-273-1468 Furnish all necessary labor, equipment, materials, and expertise necessary to provide, install and test complete and fully operational sound reinforcement systems in thirteen (13) courtrooms, one Grand Jury Room, one Jury Lounge and a paging system, in the new US Federal Courthouse in Santa Ana, CA. The sound reinforcement systems includes voice reinforcement, bench conference, playback, simultaneous interpretation, assisted listening, recording, phone interface and control system. In addition, five or more of these courtrooms will also have integrated components of courtroom technology installed in theirs. These will be supported by a control room, cameras, recording and a conference system. The work includes but is not limited to supply/fabrication/testing and adjustment of sound reinforcement and video equipment, preparation of operations and maintenance manuals, user training, warranty maintenance, and the repair and refinishing of all surfaces damaged during the installation of the system components and cabling. The contractor shall have calibrated test equipment of sufficient quality to permit repair and adjustment of system components to manufacture specifications. Award will be made to the responsive, responsible bidder submitting the lowest-price. Estimated cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Bid, payment and performance bonds are required. Bids will be solicited for the proposed contract on an unrestricted basis as to business size. The solicitation documents will be issued on or about June 1, 1998.
