Silverman, Contracting Officer, (301)443-5774 The Indian Health Service, Headquarters East, will be soliciting for proposals from prospective offerors to serve as the fiscal intermediary, for the Indian Health Service, to operate a centralized medical and dental claims processing and reimbursement system. The contractor shall provide and operate a system of claims processing, adjustment, reimbursement, payment recovery, and controls to effect accurate and timely payments and collection of provider refunds. The contractor shall have the automated data processing resources to implement and operate a health services fiscal reimbursement system in an efficient and economical manner and be able to provide statistical and financial reports. The contractor shall provide support services which include development and maintenance of a newsletter, development of and maintenance of an operational manual, and responding to inquiries. The estimated number of claims processed annually is 358,000. The Government contemplates award for a base year and four one-year options. Options will be evaluated.
