The solicitation document will contain the details of the Meeting, the instructions for submitting a proposal, and how the proposals will be evaluated. SCOPE OF REQUIREMENT -- The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) requires the facilities and services of a qualified hotel to provide guest rooms, meeting rooms and related services for the Annual Law Department Meeting. The Meeting is to be held in one of the following weeks in 1998: Sept. 15-17; Oct. 6-8; Oct. 20-22; Oct. 27-29; or Nov. 3-5. There will be approximately 150 attendees for the 2 day meeting. The estimated maximum number of sleeping rooms is 35 for each of three nights. There will be a general session for 150 theatre style and an estimated maximum of four concurrent sessions for 45 each theatre style on each of two days. There will be one reception for approximately 80 people, an estimated maximum of three continental breakfasts, and several coffee breaks. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS -- The hotel must be: 1) located in Washington, DC; or in Arlington or Alexandria, VA; or in Chevy Chase, Bethesda, North Bethesda or Silver Spring, MD; 2) compliant with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law 101-391) and have a FEMA certification number; 3) compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq. (ADA); and 4) have one of the following quality ratings: First class or higher per the Official Hotel Guide; two stars or higher per the Mobil Travel Guide; three diamonds or higher per AAA; three crowns or higher per the OAG Business Travel Planner. ***** (0119)
