Thomas Kozan (760) 939-4421 PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE -- TO ALERT CONTRACTORS OF A FORTHCOMING SOLICITATION INDEFINITE DELIVERY INDEFINITE QUANTITY (IDIQ) TASK ORDER CONTRACT FOR GENERAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS. This IDIQ contract acquires construction projects such as renovation and repair work (including demolition), hazardous material abatement and site improvements. It is anticipated that three contracts will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. The total fee for the contract shall not exceed $3,000,000 in one year and no single task order will exceed $100,000. Projects to be accomplished under this contract will usually be small to medium in size with costs ranging from $2,000 to $100,000. The awarded contracts are each guaranteed a minimum of $25,000. Individual firm fixed price task orders for work to be performed will be awarded to one of the three contracts based on the lowest price/technically acceptable offer. Each contract will be for a period of one year with four Government option years for the same basic services. Each option year is limited to the same fee restrictions as the base year. Expected start dates are 1 August 1998. Evaluation factors, listed in descending order of importance, are as follows: (1) Past Performance; (2) Technical Experience; (3) Geographical Location; and (4) Work Scheduling Capabilities. The tentative issue date is on or about 28 May 1998 with the proposal due date approximately 30 days later. The SIC Code is 1542. The related small business size standard is $17.0 Million.
